About

I’m a mature artist who loves what I do and the joy my work brings to others. - Mary Travers

THE WORK OF MARY TRAVERS

The unique thing about Mary Travers art, is that while one can see trends, themes and characteristics of her work, it is her imaginative palette and use of materials that draws one in.

Her work does not repeat itself. Every piece is rendered to be the one piece that can stand on its own.

So when her work is viewed retrospectively - over the course of her oeuvre, her lifetime, or even biographical chapters - it is the deep, insightful rendering that catches you off guard.

In fact, when it does succeed, it pushes you, the viewer, toward that wry smile. The chuckle followed by a deep breath one should experience when an art piece does its magic.

Yes, says the viewer: “This is how art is supposed to make me feel.”
